    Technician B is correct

    Explanation:

Technician A is not correct because engine slings should not have an angle of 90 degrees. This is because force needed above 90 degrees increases infinitely.

Generally, slings are generally used at an angle range of 0 - 45 degrees. If greater angle is needed, then a range between 45-60 should suffice. From above 60 degrees, forces used increases rapidly.

Technician B is correct its is important to inspect slings for damages before use so as to avoid "avoidable accident" when using damaged sling. So for safety precautions, it is very important to check for damages.
