    A=xy and y=x+1 so

    A=x (x+1)

    A=x^2+x

    x^2+x-A=0 since A=30

    x^2+x-30=0

    x^2-5x+6x-30=0

    x (x-5) + 6 (x-5) = 0

    (x+6) (x-5) = 0, since x>0 to have any meaning ...

    x=5 units, and since y=x+1

    y=6 units.
