If 4 id added to twice a number anbd this sum is multiplied by 2, the results is the same as if the number is multiplied by 3 and 4 id added to the product. What is the number

    X=-4

    From what I understand the equation is 2 (2x+4) = 3x+4

    Then you multiply 2 and the numbers in the parentheses first=4x+8=3x+4

    You first minus 3x from each side=x+8=4 then you minus 8 from each side=x=-4
