First, multiply the numerator (to the left of the slash) then denominator to the other fraction. Numerator to numerator ... denominator to denominator.

To find an equivalent fraction of a number, you just multiply or divide the numerator and the denominator by the same number ...

    for example:

    1/5 = 2/10 since you multiply both the 1 and 5 by 2.

for 3/12 ... it can be reduced if you divide both the numerator by 3 ... you can figure it out; )
