At a birthday party, there are 2 gift boxes that are red, 8 gift boxes that are green, 4 gift boxes that are blue, and 10 gift boxes that are multi-colored sitting on a table. If one of the gift boxes falls off the table at random, what is the probability that the gift box will be green?

    The answer is 8 (green boxes) / 24 (total boxes) but you have to simplify to 1/3

    The answer would be 8 out of 28 or 8/28 because if you add all of them up you get twenty eight and there are eight that are green so that is how you get the 8/28
