All equations have a equal sign while expressions have no equal sign. Some people say that equations and expressions are the same thing. That is not true.

    Step-by-step explanation:

All equations have a equal sign while expressions have no equal sign. Some people say that equations and expressions are the same thing. That is not true.

    Here's an example.

    Equations:

y=3x+3^2 (this is a linear equation)

    f (x) = 5x-3 (this is a Quadratic Equation)

    expressions:

3x+3 (this is a simplified expression)

    3x+4z-3a+-3 (3x+2) (this is a extended expression)

Equations and expressions are not the same thing. Some people say this is true, but it is not. It may be true but equations have an equal sign. Expressions don't have an equal sign because equations are able to be graphed and to evaluated. Expressions are able to be simplified and evaluated. Expressions and equations are different.
