Jason will use a 1/3 gallon pitcher to fill an empty 3/4 water jug. How much water is needed to completely fill the water jug?

    Pitcher 1/3 gallon = 4/12 gallon

    Jug 3/4 = 9/12 gallon

    So, it will take 2 pitchers plus 1/12 of a gallon to fill the jug.
