    Carol : 54 inches

    Tino : 4.5 ft ... 1 ft = 12 inches ... so 4.5 ft = 12 * 4.5 = 54 inches

    Baxter : 6.5 yds ... 1 yd = 36 inches ... so 6.5 yds = 6.5 * 36 = 234 inches

    total : 54 + 54 + 234 = 342 inches <==

    342 / 12 = 28.5 ft <==

    342 / 36 = 9.5 yds <==
