What value of x makes f (x) = 5 if f (x) = - 2x + 25?

    5 = - 2x + 25

    -20 = - 2x

    20 = 2x

    x = 10

    The answer is 10

    Set the f (x) equation equal to 5 so that f (x) = - 2x + 25 = 5, then subtract 25 from both sides so that - 2x = - 20 then divide by 2 and solve for x which should give you 10
