    26.25 inches of rain.

3.75 (inches of rain per day) x 7 (total days forecasted to rain) = 26.25 inches

About 26.25 inches of rain will fall in total.

3.75 of rain will fall every day for seven days.

Now just either add 3.75 to itself 7 times for each day, or simply multiply 3.75 by 7. Each will give you 26.25 inches of rain in total if the meteorologist is correct.
