    Let the speed of the slower bus be equal to x km/h

    let the speed of the faster bus be equal to x+16 km/h

    in one hour they are a further 2x+16 km apart

    therefore after 5 hours they are 5 (2x+16) = 10x + 80 km apart

    10x + 80 = 880 km

    10x = 800km

    x = 80

    x + 16 = 96

    therefore, the speed of the slower bus is 80 km/h whereas the speed of the second bus is 96 km/h
