F (x) = x^2 is vertically stretched by a factor of 2 and translated by 3 units left to create g (x). What does g (x) = ?

    g (x) = - 2 (x+3) ^2

    The - 2 in front is the vertical stretch.

    Also, because it is going 3 units to the left, you have to put the 3 on the inside and because it is left you do the opposite and it is + 3.
