The perimeter of a rectangle garden is 36 ft. The length is 2 ft more than The width. Find the length and width of the garden.

    P = 36 ft = 2l + 2w

    l = 2ft + w

    36 = 2 (2 + w) + 2w

    36 = 4 + 2w + 2w

    36 - 4 = 4w

    32 = 4w

    w = 8 ft

    l = w + 2ft

    l = 8ft + 2ft

    l = 10 ft
