The length of a swimming pool is 22 ft. the width is 40 ft. if the volume of the pool is 2,500 ft, which equation would you use to find the depth of the pool?

    As we know that volume is three dimensional so we will multiply width, length and depth

    Now as we have to find the depth of the pool so

    Volume = length*width*depth

    depth=Volume / (length*width)

    d=2500 / (40*22)

    d = 2500/880

    depth=2.841ft

    I would use ... Volume = length x width x depth. Of course, I would have to massage it somewhat to make depth the dependent variable.
