What is the solution of the system defined by y = - x + 5 and 5x + 2y = 14?

Ax=1/3, y=11/7

Bx=4/3, y=11/3

    Y = - x + 5

    5x + 2y = 14

    5x + 2 (-x+5) = 14

    5x - 2x + 10 = 14

    3x = 14 - 10

    3x = 4

    x = 4/3 or 1 1/3

    y = - x + 5

    y = - 4/3 + 5

    y = - 4/3 + (5 * 3/3)

    y = - 4/3 + 15/3

    y = - 4+15 / 3

    y = 11/3 or 3 2/3

    Correct answer is B. x = 4/3; y = 11/3
