    1 / 50000 = 6/x

    cross multiply

    (1) (x) = (50000) (6)

    x = 300000 inches = 8333.33 yds = 4.73 miles

    So real is 50000 times of the measured

    so 6 inches turns to 6 times 50000=300000 inches

    hoa many inches are ina mile

    5280ft=1mile

    12inches pe foot

    5280 times 12=63360 inches

    measured/inches per mile=miles

    300000/63360=4.7348 ...

    the one is listed as an ooption, 4.73 is the answer
