If there are 4 ounces of vanilla in a 12 ounces milkshake, it means that every 3 ounces of milkshake, 1 ounce of those 3 ounces is vanilla 4 : 12 = 1/3

1/3 is the proportion of vanilla and milkshake.

    4 : 12 can also be written as 2/6 or 4/12

    Awnser : 1/3, 2/6 or 4/12, 8/24 etc ...

ps. dont drink this milkshake, it is just chocolate and vanilla (theres not even milk in it)
