What statements about prisms are always true if the top base is directly above the bottom base?

    The following are true:

    1. The bases are congruent. This is what makes it a prism.

    3. When the bases are polygons - which they should be for it to be a prism, the lateral faces are rectangles. This is always true because the edges of the polygon wil create a rectangle when it connects to the other edge on the opposite side of the prism.
