    Answer: 15 bows

    Step-by-step explanation:

A roll of ribbon has 8 3/4 feet of ribbon

to make a bow, you use 1 3/4 feet of ribbon

    first convert to decimal

    = 8 3/4 = 8.75

    =1 3/4 = 1.75

to get the number of bows to make from 3 rolls of ribbon,

    = if one bow = 1.75 ribbon

and one roll of ribbon has 8.75 feet of ribbon

    then 3 rolls will have 3 * 8.75 = 26.25 feet

therefore 26.65 feet of ribbon will make

    =26.65/1.7=15

    =15 bows
