In a class there are

8 students who play football and cricket 4 students who do not play football or cricket

14 students who play football

20 students who play cricket

Find the probability that a student chosen at random plays football or cricket or both.

    you can answer this in many ways but i am going to tell you how to do it in fractions the probability of chooseing football is 7/23 the probability of choosing cricket is 10/23 the probability of choosing both is 4/23 and the probability of choosing none is 2/23
