How do you find the Least Common Multiple or (LCM) of 12, 48, and 72?

    LCM

    factor them

    12=2*2*3 - > two 2's, and one 3

    48=2*2*2*2*3 - > four 2's and one 3

    72=2*2*2*3*3 - > three 2's and two 3's

    LCM includes all of them

    the max number of 2's is 4

    the max number of 3's is 2

    lcm=2*2*2*2*3*3=144
