    Refer t the diagram shown below.

    Let h = the height of the helicopter.

    By definition,

    tan (49°) = h/900

    1.1509 = h/900

    h = 900*1.1509 = 1035.3 ft

    Answer: 1035.3 ft (nearest tenth)
