Meryl spends a total of $68.82 for 2 pairs of sneakers with the same cost. The sale tax is $5.32. Meryl also uses a coupon for $3.00 off her purchase. How much does each pair of sneakers cost?

    Add 5.32 to 5.32 and you get 74.14. Subtract 3.00 and you get 71.14. Now divide it by 2 to find out how much each pair was and you end up with 35.57
