Sale price of a new refrigerator is $262.5 and Sale price of new range of top = $225 when purchased together.

    Solution:

    Given that

Mackenzie purchased a new refrigerator for $350

Mackenzie purchased a new range of top for $300

The store was offering a deal of 25% if both were purchased at the same time.

Need to determine sale price of these two items

Assuming that these two items are purchased at the same time, there will be 25% deal

    So sale piece of a new refrigerator of $350 = $350 - 25% of $350 = 350 - 0.25 x 350 = 350 - 87.5 = $262.5

    And Sale price of new range of top = $300 = $300 - 25% of $300 = 300 - 0.25 x 300 = 300 - 75 = $225

Hence sale price of a new refrigerator is $262.5 and Sale price of new range of top = $225 when purchased together.
