Lines f and g are cut by the transversal d. The measure of 1 = 2x + 35 and the measure of 8 = 10x - 85.

What value of x will show that lines f and g are parallel?

A. 19

B. 26

    as we know that if two parallal line cut by a transversal opposide angles are same and corisponging angle are same so <1 and<8 are same means<1=<8 so we can write 2x+35=10x-85

    10x-2x=85+35 8x=120 x=120/8 x=15 ans is D. 15
