so i just started modeling and two step inequalities and my question is 62°f and it drops 2 degrees every hour. How many hours was it before the temperature was below 40°

    Equation:

    62 - 2x = T

    62 - 2 (11) = 40

    It was 11 hours because if the temperature drops 2 degrees after every hour, after 11 hours, the temperature would have dropped 22 degrees and 62 - 22 = 40.
