Between them, John and Mark have 32 marbles. John has 3 times as many as Mark. How many marbles does each boy have?

    32 = m + j

    j = 3m

    32 = m + 3m = 4m

    m = 8

    j = 24

    Mark has 32 marbles and John has 96 marbles. If you add the marbles together they both have a total of 128.
