How do you do this problem?

Y=x-2

Y = - 2x+1

    Since they are both set equal to y you can set them equal to each other and solve.

    x-2 = - 2x + 1

    Add 2x to both sides

    3x - 2 = 1

    Subtract 2 from both sides

    3x = 3

    Divide both sides by 3

    x = 1
