The properties of equality that Erma used to solve an equation with their correct order is symmetric property of equality and multiplication property of equality. Symmetric property of equality states that when you add or subtract a side of the equation, you also have to subtract the other side of the equation for it to be the same as the original. Because if you transfer the number, let us say 8 here in the example to the other side containing 8, it will just give a value of zero and still the original equation remains. It is then followed by a multiplication property since the other side is to be divided by 8. if you cross multiply the equation, the denominator value of 8 can be multiplied to the other side of the equation.
