A company checks washers at a plant and records 588 defective washers out of 2,940 checked. What is the experimental probability, P (defective) ?

    Number of defective washers = 588

    Probability of a washer being defective can be calculated as:

    P (defective) = (Number of defective Washer) / (Total Number of Washers)
