Two quantities, x and y, are directly proportional. If you take a third of x, what happens to y? It is tripled. It is cubed. It depends on the starting value of x. It is multiplied by 13.

    Because X and Y are directly proportional, this means what ever happens to one, the same thing happens to the other one.

    The correct answer would be: it depends on the starting value of x.
