In 2000, the number of students enrolled at Arlington Country Day School was 823 students. In 2010, the population was approximately 705 students. Find the percent of change in the enrolled students at Arlington Country Day School from 2000-2010 and identify it as an increase or decrease.

B. 14.3%; decrease

    To find the percentage change in the number of students enrolled you do : 705 (which is the new number) - 823 (which is the old number) / 823 then the result * 100

    So I know it is confusing, sorry for that,

    but basically what you do is (new value - old value) / old value then the result of this multiplied by 100 since it is a percentage
