The regular price for a snowboard is $299.95. it is on sale for 30% off, but 5% sales tax will be applied to the sale price. caitlin has $215. can she afford to buy the snowboard?

    100-30=70

    find 70% of snowboard

    299.95 times 0.70=209.97

    5% tax

    times 1.05

    209.97 times 1.5=220

    220>215

    can't afford
