The surface area formula for a cube is 6*s^2. We have to work backwards to find out what "s" is, the side or edge of the cube. We know the surface area equals 200 square inches and we know the formula too, so let's use them. 6*s^2 = surface area. The problem tells us the surface area, 200 square inches.

So, we get 6*s^2 = 200. To find s, we have to get s^2 by itself. This means that we have to divide by 6 first. So, s^2 = 200/6. That's not going to be a pretty division problem but you would get s^2 = 33.333 ... Anyways, to find what s is, you have to square root 33.333.

After doing that, you get s = 5.7735 This is the length of the edge of this cube. Good luck!
