Hank has cards that are 8 inches by 4 inches. a stack of these cards fits inside a Box that is 8 inches long 4 inches deep 4 inches high. the cards use up to 32 cubic inches of volume how tall is the stack of cards? What percent of the Box's volume is taken up by the cards?

    32 cubic inches of cards

    V=area of bsase times height

    area of base=4*8=32

    32=32*height

    1=height

    card stack is 1 inch high

    find volume of box

    v=8*4*4=128

    32 cubic inches of cards

    percent means parts out of 100

    x%=x/100

    32/128=0.25/1

    0.25/1 times 100/100=25/100=25%

    answer is 25%

    1 inch tall

    25% taken up
