Samantha bought 4.5 pounds of pears. Each pound cost $1.68. How much did Samantha spend in all?

    1 pound = $ 1.68

    Calculations

    To find how much 4 pounds cost multiply by 4.

    1.68 x 4 = 6.72

    To find. 5 divide 1.68 by 2 and add it to 6.72.

    1.68 : 2 = 0.84

    6.72 + 0.84 = 7.56

    She spent $ 7.56
