Explanation:
First, you find the common denominator of the fractions listed. One way of finding it is this:
6: 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 ...
4: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 ...
8: 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 ...
You may notice that each number has the shared multiple: 24. Since 6 is multiplied 4 times to get 24, you multiply 3 by 4. So, your equivalent fraction is 12/24.
The same thing with 4, since you have to multiply 4 by 6 to get 24, you multiply 3 by 6. Thus, you have 18/24.
Again, you multiply 8 by 3 to get 24, so you do 2 multiplied by 3. This gets you to 6/24.
Now you can easily line up the fractions from least to greatest.
