Not sure what the colon represents but let's get started on the equation

    First thing is to distribute

    Y:y-1 = 4y-2y-16 - > Y:y-1 = 2y-16 plus one on both sides

    Then gives you y:y=2y-15

From there I'm not sure bc of that colon which in math normally represents a ratio but that is just implying a one to one ratio or that y is equal to y

If it is there by accident then we will proceed here with the equation

Y=2y-15 ... subtract 2y from both sides to get - y=-15, and a negative divided by a negative will give you a positive answer

So with all of that in mind I think your answer is y=15
