Which characteristic of a data set makes a linear regression model unreasonable?

Solution: a correlation coefficient close to 0 makes a linear regression model unreasonable. Because the correlation coefficient close to 0 means that there is no relationship between the two variables. We can not use these variables to build regression model because independent variable carries least amount of variation about dependent variable.
