A bag contains 6 marbles, 3 red and 3 blue. What is the probability of drawing a red marble, replacing it, and then drawing another red marble?

    The formula of probability is given as:

    P = number of successful events / total events

    In this case, since we are drawing red marbles for 2 succession with replacement therefore:

    P = (3/6) * (3/6)

    P = ¼

    Since we are replacing the drawn sample, therefore the compound events are independent.

    Answer: independent, 1/4
