The ratio of white marbles to blue marbles in the bag is equal to 2:3. There are 20 marbles in the bag. What is the possible number of white marbles and blue marbles in the bag.

    Well, if there are 2 white marbles and 3 blue marbles, the sum of that would be 5 marbles of either. 5 marbles is 1/4 of the total amount of marbles in that bag, so you would need to multiply each marble amount by 4 to get your answer.

    2 * 4 = 8 white marbles, 3 * 4 = 12 blue marbles. 8+12 = 20 total marbles.

    8 white marbles

    12 blue marbles.

    Well the answer is 8 white marbles and 12 blue cuz 5x=20 x=4 2*4 and 3*4
