    2a+3c=61

    2a=61-3c

    a=30.5-1.5c

    ...

    3a+5c=96, using a found above we get:

    3 (30.5-1.5c) + 5c=96

    91.5-4.5c+5c=96

    91.5+0.5c=96

    0.5c=4.5

    c=9, and since a=30.5-1.5c

    a=17

    So adult tickets cost £17.00 and child tickets cost £9.00
