Hello! There is a markup, so the price goes up. We add 1 to the percentage rate in decimal form, then we multiply that by the original price to go straight to the new price. 45% in decimal form is 0.45. 1 + 0.45 is 1.45. 25 * 1.45 is 36.25. There. The new price of the jeans is $36.25.
