X² - 14 = 5x + 67 - 5x
First, combine like terms. 5x will cancel out with - 5x.
x² - 14 = 67
x² = 81
√x² = √81
x = + / - 9
The answer will most likely be 9, but the proper answer is both positive and negative 9.
