    3x-1/9 y=18

    if y=27

    Then:

    3x - (1/9) 27=18

    3x-27/9=18

    3x-3=18

    3x=18+3

    3x=21

    x=21/3=7

    Answer: x=7

    3x - (1/9) y = 18

    Plug in y = 27

    3x - (1/9) 27 = 18

    3x - 27/9 = 18

    3x - 3 = 18

    3x - 3 + 3 = 18 + 3

    3x = 21

    x = 21/3

    x = 7

    x = 7 when y = 27
