    set it up as a proportion

    napkins = 3 x

    items = 7 14

    cross multiply 14x3=42

    is 42 divided into 7 = 6

    They would get 6 napkins because you get three napkins for a 7 item order and 14 is twice the amount of 7 so you would get six because it is 2 times the amount of 3
