The rate of change is a measure used to describe how one quantity changes over a period of time. To calculate the rate of change, we use the expression as follows:

Rate of population change = change in population / time

    Rate of population change = 305,000,000 - 281,000,000 / 8 years

Rate of population change = 3000000 per year
