    Note that the framing material is per linear foot which means that it measures the perimeter of the window. So P (perimeter) = x (2b + 2h) where b is the base and h is the height and x is the cost/linear foot. The cost of the glass is per area and A (area) = ybh where y is the cost/foot^2. So the cost (C) of the window is:

    C = frame + glass

    = x (2b + 2h) + ybh

    = 13 (2 (4) + 2h) + 22 (4) h

    = 13 (8 + 2h) + 88h

    = 104 + 26h + 88h

    = 114h + 104 (if you are given the height then you can plug it in)
