The walls of a square room need painting. Each of the four walls is 12ft wide by 8.5 feet tall. One gallon of paint covers 75ft squared. How many gallons will you need?

    Do 8.5 times 12, which gives you 102. Multiply by 4 and get 408. Divide this by 75 and you get 5.44. You will need 6 gallons or 5.44 gallons if you don't need to round up.
