Why square root of 42 is not rational number

    The square root of 42 is about 6.48074 ...

    The decimal is nonterminating and nonrepeating, which makes it irrational. It also cannot be represented as a ratio of two integers (whereas all rational numbers can be represented as a ratio of two integers).
